Cybersecurity is what helps prevent important data being stolen by protecting different systems, hardware, and software. The main purpose is to protect the data of not only individuals, but big organizations and companies too. It is important to be cyber secure aware so that you can better prevent data from getting into the wrong hands and then this leading to identity theft, fraud, or deletion of data. However, our security is constantly being threatened by hackers, risk management, and data loss so staying up to date and aware on what to do can help prevent this from turning into a bigger problem. Why is TikTok so successful?
People are wondering why TikTok is so successful. TikTok has so many viable ways to followers and adults wonder why. That’s because individuals can follow different profiles and make a feed of new content from the makers they appreciate most. There’s also a “For You” feed that shows an irregular combination of recordings from other creators. This component offers an unending feed of new videos to watch and feeds into the profoundly addictive nature of TikTok.
Notwithstanding, it’s additionally what makes TikTok such a tempting stage—it permits those with even the littlest followings to “circulate around the web” and become online big names in a shorter time frame. There are additionally duets, which are unequivocally what they sound like. An individual superimposes themselves beside another person’s video and viably makes a fresh out of the plastic new bit of substance.

The iPad and The Kids
Every adult, teen, and even most toddlers are constantly interacting with iPads. And if an iPad isn’t the exact device you’re using, it’s safe to assume that you’re viewing this on some sort of similar smart device. While using these devices may seem like a fairly new experience for most people, meaning we remember a time without such technology, new generations are experiencing a new environment in which learning is almost completely dependent upon technology. This can be quite worrisome for people especially parents in particular. Lisa Guernsey, Director of the New American Foundation’s Early Education Initiative, has made it her mission to discover the positive and negative effects these screens have on our children’s lives. Her research and findings are discussed in the video linked below.
Research
Lisa provides numerous amounts of research and studies that show a glimpse of what exactly is going on in the mind of a child. While adults often can differentiate what is real and what what’s “on TV” children cannot. Her example using the popcorn study clearly demonstrates this. Researchers attached a picture of a bowl of popcorn to a TV screen and asked the kids if they turned the TV over would the popcorn fall out. The vast majority of the kids answered yes. This is something parents and caregivers need to remember when allowing children to view media through tablets and television. Kids have trouble knowing what’s real and what’s not. However, that’s not to say they’re not learning. Lisa explains that children are constantly engaging and learning from the content they watch. It’s just easier for them to learn when they’re interacting with the media.
The Three Cs
Lisa also mentions the three Cs when it comes to children and smart devices. Content, Context, and the Child. It is important to know that technology can be beneficial to early childhood learning. However, that depends on the three Cs. What kind of content are your kids watching, what are they watching it on (context), and are you explaining it to the child. Letting your child play with an educational app by him/herself is not enough. You must explain the game to your child, answer their questions, involve them in the conversation.
Everything in Moderation
Technology can be extremely beneficial when it comes to early childhood learning. It’s rare you hear people talk about the good technology can do for children but there is a lot of good that can be accomplished. However, just like everything else you must practice moderation. Too much of anything can be harmful and technology is no exception.
Her Code Got Humans on the Moon—And Invented Software Itself
Margaret Hamilton is the pioneer of software engineering. Without, the thousands of hours she spent in the lab coding America would have never landed humans on the moon. She went against the norm of the 1960s that encouraged women not to have technical jobs. After, she accomplished her tasks of getting human on the moon she went on to found and lead multiple software companies. Today, Hamilton Technologies focuses on providing technology, products and services to modernize systems engineering and software development through innovation.

Real Life Results From a Digital Problem
Social media and mental health is a highly discussed topic. This article scientifically explains the real-life examples and testimonies that women have from their experience from social media. This article gives data from questionnaires that these women filled out, on their experience with social media usage. Sources from this article say that lowering social media usage allows a “detox” from loneliness. A quote from the article states that “Social media engagement with attractive peers increases negative state body image,” which is a perfect example of what this article entails.

Social Media and its consequences on the youth
According to researchers, teens spend on average nine hours or more on their cell phones daily. Studies have also show that teen depression has risen over 52% from 2005 to 2017. The same study showed that one in five teens are affected by mental illness, could the amount of social media usage have something to do with this? Well, researchers at John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health says that teens who spend over three hours a day on social media are more likely to report behaviors that are indicators of mental health issues, in comparison with teens who do not use social media.

UX Design is the Key to Success
“When your site is both functional and well-designed, your visitors will have a better experience while going through its pages. If your site’s navigation is poor with a bad design, no CTAs, and lousy content, those visitors will say goodbye and may never come back. As demonstrated, these elements, along with others, can create a bad UX. To create a fully-effective website requires avoiding them, which in itself is a delicate process.” (Stark).

Artificial Intelligence in Insurance
Artificial intelligence offers many solutions to problems faced in the insurance industry today. Chatbots can be used to improve customer service and allow the claims process to move much faster. In a survey, almost three quarters of customers said they would like to communicate with modern technology. Due to AI’s ability to access data fast and run algorithms, it is able to determine what a customer needs more accurately and timely. https://marutitech.com/ai-in-the-insurance-industry/
Secure your Staff
Many businesses incorporate technology in some way and it is important for employees to know how to safely handle it. Technology can hold important documents, private data, or personal information. Technology may be new for some businesses and employees, but it is very important that they are trained and kept up to date on cybersecurity practices. OCD Treatment Drug Developed Using AI
Diseases like alzheimer, ADD and OCD currently affect many people, and even though these diseases have treatments, they are usually not very effective, some have side effects and none lead to a cure.
Hopefully, artificial intelligence is growing every day, which opens many opportunities for scientists. It usually takes an average of 5 years for scientists to develop a medication. With the help of AI, scientists were able to create a drug in less than a year that helps treat OCD.
I think that this is great news since this discovery could also be used for the creation of treatment drugs for other diseases. Follow this link to learn more:
