Ragtag is a group of tech volunteers whose primary goal is to help activists use technology to amplify their work. Who would have thought we created an inclusive way of bringing about change in this new era? This is the group that helped March for Our Lives become a huge success.
In grassroots organizing, you need access to voters or your target population, money, and a platform where folks who are interested in your cause can find more information on how to get involved. That is where tech comes in.
Online donations, text banks, MobilizeAmerica, websites, data entry, and VAN are everything that activist groups need to be able to build a movement. When it comes to social media activism, don’t forget about the tech fellows who are behind the magic!
