The U.S. Technology Cold War with China

The U.S. is currently in a “tech cold war” with China, as they have been using data from AI and 5G to dominate the world. China has a law allowing the Chinese Government access to data collected from companies located in China and global companies based in China. Author and columnist Gordon Chang said that “The U.S. is behind in critical areas.” He said “a whole society mobilization” is needed across the nation to confront China in the arena of technology. This has let to the proposal of a new law that will keep the data collected in the U.S. secure and for the use of the United States only.
