The “thin ideal” is something that has been pushed into the minds of teens since the beginning of social media. Social media and negative effects on body image are highly correlated, and this article discusses this issue and how technology has made body issues even more common than they were before.

This article also focuses on the new rise of fitness and health social media accounts. This rise has caused a new wave of comparison and body issues among teens who are active on social media.
